I woke up this morning and I was madly in love with my Savior. I have never felt this way and I wish I could feel like this every day of my life. I feel so free and so amazing! I was reading The Message and I came across these amazing passages in Colossians.
Colossians 3:12-17
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ--the Message--have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives--words, actions, whatever--be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.
This passage excites me!! It ensures me that my God is a GREAT God! I love the part of the passage that says sing, sing your hearts out to God! That makes me want to get up and just praise God as loud as I can! I could NOT wait to share this with everyone! I wanted to go outside and shout it out! I love this feeling.

"Broken Angel"
So small, yet still so proud
At night before he dreams he looks into the clouds
A high flyer's what I want to be
Seems they won't let me, says I'm too small
I don't feel small at all
Break my dreams, that's what they'll do
Well I'm going to run away and learn to fly like you
I'm going to go so high and swoop so low
You can't bring me down, going to be so proud
Little angel you got to learn to fly
Get up and earn your wings tonight
Little angel just look in my eyes
Get up and earn your wings tonight
Push and shove then climb aboard
This is the shuttle train to the top of the world
When you look around what do you see
These are all high flyers
But none of these high flyers look like me
What is that supposed to mean What am I supposed to be
I pull my way up through this crowd
To find your body crushed on the ground
It's so obvious, why couldn't you see
That you can't go high flying without a pair of high-flyer wings
Little one's broken lying on the ground
Trying to get up 'till his last breath out
Wings are strune everywhere, there's blood all around
'Cause even angel's die, but that light just fades
It's so sad, but he'd be so proud
Broken angel you've got to learn to fly
Get up and earn your wings tonight
Broken angel just look in my eyes
Get up and earn you wings tonight
Get up and earn your wings, earn your wings tonight

Bibles
On Tuesday after school, my mom took me to Family Christian Stores and I bought a new Bible. It's the Revolve Devotional Bible. Every time I get a new Bible, I immediately turn to Psalm 91:14-16, my all-time favorite verses. I find it interesting how almost every Bible I have has a different translation of it.
- My Grandma's NIV Holy Bible- Psalm 91:14-16 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
- FCA God's Game Plan- Psalm 91:14-16 Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will exalt him because he knows My name. When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor. I will satisfy him with a long life and who him My salvation.
- Revolve Devotional Bible- Psalm 91:14-16 The Lord says, "Whoever loves me, I will save. I will protect those who know me. They will call to me, and I will answer them. I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them. I will give them a long, full life, and they will see how I can save.
- The Message- Psalm 91:14-16 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God, "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party. I'll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation.
and they all mean exactly the same thing:]

grandma's feather bed
It was a happy time, it was a sad time, it was expected, it was a surprise, she was closer than ever, she was further away than ever, it was a pain-free time, it was a painful time, it was a common occurrence, it was an uncommon pain, we were stronger than before, we were weaker than we thought, it was a perfect destination, it was an imperfect journey --
My grandma was one amazing woman. She didn't have a feather bed, but we loved going to her house anyways. I was her after-school-buddy and I would walk to her house during elementary school and we'd drink a coke and eat a snickers. It's funny. I was eating a snickers the other day and drinking a coke and I had this flashback. I could seriously hear my grandma saying "McKinley you'll spoil your dinner!" But never stopping me from eating one. Man I loved her. I would do my homework sitting in her wheelchair and she would either help me or watch Days of Our Lives. She was an amazing woman. If she could have been on any TV show it would have been either a soap opera or Wheel of Fortune. I think if there's any person in the world I would like to be like, it would be my mom and my grandma because they are pure resembles of each other. I think at least once every day I see my grandma in my mother. They are two amazing women. Every day I thank my Lord for blessing me with such amazing mentors in my life. I love them. This verse specifically comes to my mind from my 5th grade Wednesday night class: Beauty in God's Eyes
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
My grandmother and my mother will always be praised.

Him.
Today was a good day. It started off bad because we had to go to a full day of school and the weather people had been telling us we were supposed to get 7-8 inches of snow so nobody expected to go today. Everything turned out okay though. God works in weird ways, but I'm glad he does. Psalm 18:25 says, "To the faithful you show yourself faithful..." He has definitely showed Himself to me through my life. In school, He has showed me wonderful friends who have taught me so much. He has also taught me that everyone has bad days, and that's why we have such amazing families and friends. Jesus, through our family and friends, gets us through the day. They are our encouragers. They are who we want to see when we're feeling down, or stressed. I am encouraged by them every day of my life and I am so thankful that He has blessed me with such an amazing life. Sometimes I don't tell them enough how much I enjoy and love them and on those days I hope that they are able to tell through my actions. I have heard that actions speak louder than words. I just want everyone in my life to know that, I love you all. I love you all very much and I don't know what I would do without yall. I love You. Thank you for blessing me with an amazing life.
