First off, I would like to thank Candy for holding me accountable to blog. So thank you Candy! I can always count on you to be there! I love you!
This morning I was surprised to wake up and hear an alarm going off. I reached over to my clock and tried to turn it off a few times until I realized it was our house alarm. Sometimes my dad forgets we are in the house and accidentally sets the alarm to AWAY which makes it go off with any movement in the house. You've got to love him dearly though :). It was nice to wake up before 10 though. I've mostly been sleeping this break away and so it was refreshing to wake up at 9.
My Christmas break has been great so far. I love hanging out with my family, even when we're all taking a nap in the same house. Being together is what Christmas is all about. My cousin taught me a new game called Ten's and Two's. It's challenging at first but then it's fun. I won the first time I played! After I was taught that game, my whole family and I went to watch Marley & Me. It was such an amazing movie! I balled like a little baby though! It was definitely worth going to see it in the end. It's been an incredible break, and it's still in the process.
If you're reading this blog, leave a comment and tell me:
What's been your favorite part of your Christmas break?
What's your favorite Christmas movie?...song?
What memories have you made?
Love you guys!

Just Because.
I was reading my Myspace profile a few minutes ago and I came across my blog. I reread all of my entries and it lit a fire inside of me to write again! I really am going to try to keep blogging but I'm going to need everyone's accountability to help me remember. Sometimes throughout the day, I get sidetracked. Mostly by Facebook and homework. I've forgotten how much I love to express myself! Alright..let's see if I remember how to do this. A few weeks ago, my church kicked off Huddles. Every week I look forward to Wednesday night because I get to catch up with my Huddle leaders and especially my friends who don't go to school with me. One night, Leslie Mayo was talking about how we don't present our minds and hearts to Holy reminders. Instead we fill them with images that satisfy our want to be "popular" or "in-the-know." I will admit..I'm addicted to One Tree Hill. It definitely isn't a Holy show, but it does satisfy my want to know what everyone else talks about after the new episodes. I decided that very night that I would start writing a scripture on a post-it note once a week and put it in my car. That way I would always have a Holy reminder in front of me. This week, I'm focusing on serenity. My verse that I wrote on Wednesday was this:
1 Peter: 3-4
It should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
This made me realize that I need to take time out of my day, even if it's just on my way to school, turn my radio off, and meditate in God's mighty presence. He has blessed me this week and I will keep resting in His arms forever.
